Utility/Permit/Subdivision Office

The Utility/Permit/Subdivision Office of the Highway Design Department issues permits and oversees the installation and relocation of all utilities within the right-of-way of county roads. Their work is essential to the timely construction of capital improvements and major  maintenance projects, which often begin with the relocation and upgrade of  water, sanitary sewer, natural gas, electricity, and communication lines. They also inspect all subdivisions for county acceptance within the townships.

For more information, please call Jim Jewell, Utilities Coordinator at (614) 462-3063.
