Road Repair
and Resurfacing
Each spring, the Road Repair and Resurfacing
Office awards and supervises construction contracts to improve driving
conditions on targeted county and township roads. The crack seal contract
involves the application of tar sealant to prevent water seepage through
pavement fractures. For those thoroughfares that need more substantial work, the
road repair and resurfacing contract provides base and shoulder improvements, an
asphalt overlay, and pavement striping.
