Real Estate
The Real Estate Department acquires the
right-of-way needed for the construction of county road and bridge improvement
projects, as well as manages legislative affairs involving the board of county
commissioners. They oversee the appraisal and purchase of land;
mediate disputes; prepare and present legislation to the county commissioners
for the approval of consulting engineer and construction contracts, and real
estate acquisitions; prepare newspaper advertisements soliciting bids for
engineering and construction services; and schedule plan submittals,
right-of-way hearings, final construction hearings, and bid openings.
