Dublin Road and Fishinger Road Intersection Improvement Project to begin on April 6
(Franklin County, Ohio – April 3, 2015) --- Dean C. Ringle, P.E., P.S., Franklin County Engineer, announces that a road improvement project on Dublin Road at Fishinger Road will start on April 6, 2015 and last through the beginning of August, weather permitting. The improvements will involve the addition and extension of turn lanes at the Dublin Road and Fishinger Road intersection, as well as a new traffic signal.
“The average daily traffic is over 13,000 vehicles on Dublin Road and 19,500 vehicles on Fishinger Road. The new traffic signal will provide for more efficient left and right turns to help move vehicles safely through the busy intersection,” said Dean Ringle.
The project is divided into phases to allow both Dublin Road and Fishinger Road to remain open to traffic; however, there will be intermittent daytime lane closures. No detours are required of traffic during construction. Motorists are advised to expect slow moving traffic and possible delays. The first phase includes widening of the east side of Dublin Road south of Fishinger Road and the south side of Fishinger Road east of Dublin Road.
The Franklin County Engineer's Office will supervise this $1 million project. Work will be performed by Strawser Paving, Inc. Funding is provided from the Ohio Public Works Commission and Franklin County License Plate Fees.
