Maps and Atlas

The current editions of the Franklin County Road Map and Atlas are now available to the public, and can be obtained from the Franklin County Engineer's Office, other government agencies, and public libraries. The maps are distributed free of charge, and the atlases, which are the map in booklet form, are sold for the nominal cost of $1 per copy.

Our efforts to produce the most accurate and comprehensive county map involved making more than 1,000 additions or changes to public roads, corporate boundaries, parks, and various points of interest since the publication of our 2005 edition.

For your convenience, atlas map pages and street locator indexes in a printable PDF format are available by opening the following links using Adobe Reader 8.0. For a free download of this product please visit their web site at: www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html

Road Atlas Map Pages

Click on the atlas map page you would like to view. Then select the "edit," command, which  opens the "find" tool. This will locate any street on that page.  Use the map grid, in the upper right corner, to see maps of neighboring areas.

More About the Map and Atlas

Road Atlas & Street Locator Cover

The four-color 43-inch wide and 37-inch tall road map shows 11,858 public roads, which are listed in the street locator index, and the locations of major points of interest such as airports, fire departments, government buildings, high schools, hospitals, police departments, post offices, shopping centers, and universities. Also shown are regional street address numbers that are useful in locating specific addresses.

The atlas contains the same information as the folded map but is approximately 40% larger in scale for easier reading. The atlas street locator index also contains private streets that are not included on the map.

You may acquire your maps and atlases, during normal business hours, from our headquarters lobby at 970 Dublin Road, and the Tax Map Office at 373 South High Street, on the 19th floor.

For those wishing to pick up a road map on the run, there is a distribution box in our front parking lot that is accessible from your vehicle 24 hours a day.

For more information about the road map and atlas, or to suggest revisions, please contact Ben McCown, Cartographer, at (614) 462-3068.
