Community Partners

To promote safe, efficient and environmentally strong county roadway and storm water management systems, the Engineer's office works actively with other agencies and departments in the planning, design, funding and construction of infrastructure improvements. Community partners include local municipalities and townships, Franklin County Board of Commissioners, Ohio Department of Transportation, Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission, Ohio Public Works Commission, Franklin Soil & Water Conservation District, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Franklin County Board of Health, Franklin County Planning and Development Department, County Engineers Association of Ohio, Central Ohio Transit Authority, and Paving the Way traffic management program.

The viability and quality of our projects are ensured through an extensive approval process that involves the preparation of engineering and environmental studies, the hosting of public meetings with area residents, and plan reviews by our engineering staff, as well as by experts with our partner agencies.
