Bridge and Utility Maintenance

The Bridge and Utility Maintenance Department oversees the upkeep of 355 bridges and 199 culverts on county roads. The bridges are those spans with an opening of 10 feet or more, and the culverts are those that are nine feet or less. They also fabricate and install concrete box culverts, drainage pipe, and catch basins; build and repair drain tile, retaining walls, guardrail, and embankments; clear debris from stream channels and drainage ditches; and remove unsafe trees from the public right-of-way.

For additional information, please contact Bill Fletcher, Bridge/Utility Superintendent at (614) 462-3729.
