Issuance and Renewal of Permits

1.  After all necessary insurances, bonds, certified checks or approved escrow accounts have been posted and after both the applicant and the County Engineer have agreed on the time of the move and the route, the County Engineer, acting as the representative of the County Commissioners, will administer the issuance of the permit.

2.  The Franklin County Engineer, acting under the authority of the County Commissioners, may recommend issuance of a permit, rejection of the application or request that a revised application be submitted.

3.  Issued permits will be signed by the Franklin County Engineer or his designate.

4. A written or verbal request for renewal of an Annual Special Hauling Permit will be processed upon receipt of the permit fee.  All information on file for a specific permit will remain on file until changed by the applicant or until the permit becomes invalid.
