Manual of Issuance of Special Hauling Permits on Franklin County Highways

Application for Permit

1.  Application for special hauling permit forms are available at the office of the Franklin County Engineer, 970 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215, Telephone:  (614) 462-3042 or 462-3030;  FAX (614) 487-0302. Normal working hours are 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday.

2.  Completed applications containing all required information as outlined on the application form shall be returned to the Franklin County Engineer for processing.

3.  All applications must show the exact axle spacing and weights.  If the application is not for an overweight movement, weights and axle spacings are not required to be shown unless specifically requested by the Franklin County Engineer or his designate.  The form must be complete in every other regard.

4.  Applications shall bear the signature and title of the person (or his/her authorized representative) assuming full responsibility for the proposed move.
