Livingston Avenue Bridge Rehabilitation

 

Managed by the Franklin County Engineer's Office

Location: Just west of Noe-Bixby Road over Big Walnut Creek.

Description: Replacement of the deck and railings, rehabilitation of the existing concrete abutments and steel beams, installation of new street lighting, and the connection of  a new bike lane across  the bridge with the path located below in Big Walnut Park.

Status: Deck construction work is under way.

Traffic and Pedestrian Access: The pouring of concrete on the north side of the deck will require the bridge to be closed to all traffic and pedestrians on Wednesday, May 23, at 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., Thursday, May 24, weather permitting.

In case of inclement weather, the bridge closure will be delayed until May 24 or later.

There will be times when the multi-use path located beneath the bridge, in Big Walnut Creek Park, will be closed to pedestrians and bicyclists.

Cost: $3,194,480.93

Scheduled Completion: November 2012
