Georgesville-Wrightsville Road Bridge Replacement

 

Managed by the Franklin County Engineer's Office 

Location: North of  London-Groveport Road (S.R. 665). 

Description: Demolition of the current bridge and construction of a new triple-span concrete box beam structure.

Status: The bridge will be closed on or about May 29.

Traffic: Georgesville-Wrightsville Road will be closed to all traffic until late September. The posted detour route for northbound motorists will follow London-Groveport Road (S.R. 665) west to Lilly Chapel-Opossum Run Road, north to Lilly Chapel-Georgesville Road, east to Alkire Road, and east to Georgesville-Wrightsville Road.  Southbound traffic will follow the detour route in the opposite direction.

Contractor: Shelly & Sands, Inc.

Cost: $815,992.30

Scheduled Completion: November 2012.
