West Main Street Bridge Replacement

 

West Main Street Bridge

Managed by the Franklin County Engineer's Office

Location: Over Alum Creek in the City of Westerville.

Description: Construction of a new concrete and steel, triple span, haunch girder bridge.

Status: To be built during the 2010 construction season. 

Traffic: West Main Street will be closed to through traffic. The posted detour route for eastbound motorists will follow Cleveland Avenue north to County Line Road, east to North State Street (S.R. 3) and south to West Main Street. Westbound motorists will follow the detour route in the opposite direction.     

Contractor: To be determined.

Cost: Estimated at $5 million to be funded by Franklin County and the City of Westerville.

Scheduled Completion: August 2011.
