Shannon Road Realignment and Multi-Purpose Trail Construction

 

Road construction

Managed by Metro Parks, City of Columbus, and the Franklin County Engineer's Office

Location: Winchester Pike to Blacklick Creek.

Description: Realignment of the roadway to accommodate the construction of a new portion of the Central Ohio Greenways Trail, and the addition of a right-turn lane on the north leg of the Shannon Road and Winchester Pike intersection.  Construction Notice (PDF)

Status: Trail construction is under way. 

Traffic: Shannon Road has been reopened to traffic. 

Contractor: Republic Builders, Inc.

Cost: $800,000 funded by Metro Parks and Franklin County.

 Scheduled Completion: August 2010.
