Description:Reconstruction
and widening of Clime Road to accommodate east and westbound lanes, a center
turn lane, and two bike lanes; replacement of the bridge over Big Run, and the culvert east of Holly Hill Drive;
construction of storm
sewers, curbing, gutters, driveway aprons, and sidewalks; and
installation of new street lighting, traffic signage, and
signals.
Reconstruction
and widening of Demorest Road, from Bonnie Court to Franklin Heights High School
to accommodate north and southbound lanes, a center turn lane, and right turn
lane on the north leg of the Clime Road intersection.
Status:
The roadway and bridge, between Georgesville Road and Clime Road North, will be
rebuilt during the 2010 construction season. The
remaining road construction will occur in 2011 and 2012.
Traffic:
The bridge replacement work will require Clime Road to be closed to through traffic. The posted detour route
for westbound motorists on Clime Road will follow Clime Road north to
Georgesville Road. Eastbound traffic will follow the detour route in the
opposite direction.

Cost:
Estimated at $10 million to be funded by the Federal
Highway Administration, through the Mid-Ohio
Regional Planning Commission, and Ohio Public Works Commission.
