Location:
Georgesville Road to Talbot Place, east of Demorest Road.
Description:Reconstruction
and widening of Clime Road to accommodate east and westbound lanes, a center
turn lane, and two bike lanes; replacement of the bridge over Big Run, and the culvert east of Holly Hill Drive;
construction of storm
sewers, curbing, gutters, driveway aprons, and sidewalks; and
installation of new street lighting, traffic signage, and
signals.
Reconstruction
and widening of Demorest Road, from Bonnie Court to Franklin Heights High School
to accommodate north and southbound lanes, a center turn lane, and right turn
lane on the north leg of the Clime Road intersection.
Status:
Bridge, roadway, and storm sewer construction is underway.
Traffic:
Clime Road, between Georgesville Road and Clime Road North, will be closed to
through traffic until early November 2010. The posted detour route
for westbound motorists on Clime Road will follow Clime Road North north to
Georgesville Road, and south to Clime Road. Eastbound traffic will follow the detour route in the
opposite direction. Local access to homes, businesses, and Big Run Park,
from the west, is being maintained.
Cost:
$11,885,324.95 funded by the Federal
Highway Administration, through the Mid-Ohio
Regional Planning Commission, and Ohio Public Works Commission.
