Alum Creek Drive Widening and Resurfacing

 

Alum Creek Drive at Groveport Road

Managed by the Franklin County Engineer's Office

Location: Just north of Bixby Road to I-270.

Description: Widening and resurfacing of Alum Creek Drive, including the I-270 Ramp. Improvements involve the construction of new asphalt pavement, storm sewers, shoulders, curbing, and guardrail; and the widening of the roadway, at Groveport Road, to accommodate the addition of through, left, and right turn lanes on both sides of Alum Creek Drive. 

This work is in preparation for the future reconstruction and realignment of Groveport Road.

Status: To be built during the 2010 construction season. 

Traffic: Traffic will be maintained during construction. Motorists should expect slower than normal travel and possible delays.

Contractor: To be determined.

Cost: Estimated at $4 million to be funded by the Ohio Department of Development, Federal Highway Administration, through the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, and private sector contributions.

Scheduled Completion: Fall 2010.
