Continues
Franklin
County, Ohio
---
Dean C. Ringle
, P.E., P.S.,
Franklin County Engineer, announces that the White Road and McDowell
Road intersection has been reopened to traffic following a month-long
closure required by the current widening and reconstruction project.
“We
are improving the roadways to meet growing safety needs,” said Dean Ringle.
“Our project involves the widening of White Road to accommodate left turns at the
busy McDowell Road
intersection, as well as the construction of sidewalks, leisure path, wheel
chair ramps, traffic signal, street lighting, and school flashers.”
The
Franklin County Engineer’s Office is supervising the building of this $1.3
million project by the Decker Construction Company. Funding is being provided by
the Ohio Public Works Commission,
Grove City, Jackson
Township, and
Franklin
County.
The
widening and reconstruction of the
White Road
and
McDowell Road
intersection is scheduled to be completed by late September 2009.
