Ribbon-Cutting
Ceremony to be Held for White Road at McDowell Road Intersection Improvement
Project

Franklin County Engineer, in partnership with the City of
Grove City
and Jackson
Township, announces that a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the
White Road
at McDowell Road intersection improvement project will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009 at
1:30 P.M. at the intersection.
"We
are pleased to join Grove City
and Jackson
Township
in celebrating the completion of this important intersection widening and
reconstruction project,” said Dean Ringle. “The addition of turn lanes and
traffic signals will greatly enhance traffic and pedestrian safety.”
Other
components of the project involved the construction of storm sewers, curbing,
gutters, sidewalks, leisure path, and wheel chair ramps; and installation of new
street lighting, school flashers, and signage.
The
Franklin County Engineer’s Office supervised the building of this $1.3 million
project by the Decker Construction Company. Funding was provided by the Ohio
Public Works Commission, Grove City,
Jackson
Township, and
Franklin
County.
The
widening and reconstruction of White Road
at McDowell Road
was started on July 21, 2009 and is being completed on schedule.
