Traffic Signal Installation is Under Way at Busy Waggoner Road and Rodebaugh Road Intersection

Franklin County , Ohio --- Dean C. Ringle , P.E., P.S., Franklin County Engineer, announces that the installation of a traffic signal and loop detection system at the Waggoner Road and Rodebaugh Road intersection is now under way.

“The traffic signal will provide for more efficient left and right turns, as well as safer overall travel through the intersection,” said Dean Ringle. “The busy roadways, at this location, carry a combined average daily traffic volume of 15,000 vehicles.”

Traffic will be maintained during the construction of this project. Motorists, however, should expect slower than normal travel.

The Franklin County Engineer’s Office is supervising the building of this $108,000 project by U.S. Utility Contractor, Inc. Funding is being provided by Franklin County from motor vehicle registration fees and gasoline tax.

Installation of the traffic signal and loop detection system is scheduled for completion in late April.
