Franklin
County, Ohio
---
Dean C. Ringle
, P.E., P.S., Franklin County Engineer, announces that the current project to
widen and rebuild the
Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road
and
Taylor Road
intersection will require
Taylor Road
to be closed to through traffic starting on or about June 1, 2009, weather

“Storm
sewer and water line installation has been completed in preparation for the
roadway work,” said Dean Ringle. “We will close Taylor Road
for the construction of a new three-lane pavement and the installation of a new
traffic signal and loop detection system.”
The
posted detour route for eastbound motorists on
Taylor Road
will follow Taylor Station Road north
to Havens Corners Road, and east to
Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road. Motorists on
Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road
wishing to travel west on Taylor Road
will follow the detour in the opposite direction.
The
Franklin County Engineer’s Office is supervising the building of this $1.4
million project by Shelly & Sands, Inc. Funding is being provided by Franklin
County from motor vehicle registration fees and gasoline tax.
Taylor Road
will be reopened
to traffic upon the completion of the intersection improvement work scheduled
for late August 2009.
