Scioto & Darby Creek Road to be Closed on or about July 6 for Bridge Rehabilitation Project over CSX

Franklin County, Ohio --- Dean C. Ringle , P.E., P.S., Franklin County Engineer, announces that the rehabilitation of the Scioto & Darby Creek Road Bridge, spanning the CSX Railroad just west of I-270, will require the structure to be closed to all traffic on or about July 6 until late September 2009, weather permitting.

“Improvements to the 40-year-old structure will include the replacement of the deck and railings, and superstructure repairs,” said Dean Ringle. “We’ll also resurface the roadway approaches.”

The posted detour route for southbound motorists will follow Walcutt Road south to Roberts Road, east to Dublin Road, and north to Scioto & Darby Creek Road. Northbound motorists will follow the detour route in the opposite direction.

The Franklin County Engineer’s Office will supervise the building of this $538,000 project by The Righter Company.
