, P.E., P.S., Franklin County Engineer, in association with the Norwich Township
Trustees, announces that Schirtzinger Road, just west of Astral Drive, will be closed daily to through traffic starting Monday, June 15 through
Thursday July 2, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.
“The
road closure is required for the reconstruction of a retaining wall located
along Holcomb Ditch,” said Dean Ringle. “Our Bridge and Utility Maintenance
Department will perform this work, which will stabilize the roadway and remedy
erosion problems.”
Local
travel on
Schirtzinger Road, up to the construction site, will be maintained. A detour route will be posted
for through traffic.
Motorists
wishing to travel west on Schirtzinger Road will follow Dublin Road north to
Davidson Road and west to Schirtzinger Road. Eastbound motorists will follow the detour in the opposite direction.
