Public Meeting to be Held for Proposed Schirtzinger Road Drainage and Roadway Improvements

Franklin County , Ohio --- Dean C. Ringle , P.E., P.S., Franklin County Engineer, in partnership with the Norwich Township Trustees, announces that a public meeting to discuss proposed Schirtzinger Road drainage and roadway improvements, from Dublin Road to north of Ravenwood Drive, will be held on Monday, March 16, 2009, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Joint Safety Services Building, 5181 Northwest Parkway.

“This is an outstanding opportunity for everyone to learn about our proposed Schirtzinger Road drainage and roadway improvement project." said Dean Ringle. “The work would include the construction of a new retaining wall for Holcomb Ditch, which is located adjacent to Schirtzinger Road .”

The meeting will be conducted in an open-house format. There will be no formal presentations, but officials representing Franklin County and Norwich Township will be present to discuss the proposed improvements.

Everyone will have the opportunity to express their views about the project by submitting a comment form that will be available during the meeting. The forms can also be downloaded from of our web site (www.franklincountyengineer.org) or ordered by phone (614-462-6035). Comments should be submitted and received before March 30, 2009.

The proposed Schirtzinger Road improvement project could start as early as the 2009 construction season.
