Public Meeting to be Held for the Proposed Improvement of Schirtzinger Road in Norwich Township

Franklin County, Ohio --- Dean C. Ringle, P.E., P.S., Franklin County Engineer, in partnership with the Norwich Township Trustees, announces that a public meeting to discuss the proposed improvement of Schirtzinger Road, from Dublin Road to north of Ravenwood Drive, will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Safety Services Building, 5181 Northwest Parkway.

“This event is a follow-up to the public meeting about the project held last March,” said Dean Ringle. “Since that time, our Bridge and Utility Maintenance Department, as requested by Norwich Township, rebuilt a section of the retaining wall along Holcomb Ditch, west of Astral Drive, to stabilize Schirtzinger Road and to remedy some of the erosion problems.”

The meeting will start with a presentation by Cornell Robertson, P.E., P.S., Franklin County Highway Design Engineer, followed by an informal viewing of engineering exhibits when attendees can discuss the proposed improvements with Franklin County Engineer and Norwich Township officials.

Everyone will have the opportunity to express their views about the project by submitting a comment form that will be available during the meeting. The forms can also be downloaded from of our web site (www.franklincountyengineer.org) or ordered by phone (614-462-6035). Comments should be submitted and received before November 30, 2009.
