, P.E., P.S., Franklin County Engineer, announces that a public meeting to
review the structural design and other components of the new
Dodridge
Street
Bridge
, spanning the
Olentangy
River
, will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at ARC
Industries West,
250 West Dodridge Street
.
“This
event is a follow-up to the public meetings about the project held in November
2008 and March 2009,” said Dean Ringle. “Since those times, we’ve
developed a proposed plan that addresses motorist, bicyclist, and pedestrian
safety, and design aesthetics.”
The meeting will be
conducted in an open-house format. There will be no formal presentations,
but personnel representing
Franklin
County
, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and design firm E.L. Robinson will be
present to discuss the bridge replacement.
Everyone will have the
opportunity to express their views about the project by submitting a comment
form that will be available during the meeting. The forms can also be downloaded
here from of our web site or ordered by phone (614-462-6035). Comments should be
submitted and received before October 6, 2009.
